Evening cleanse

The Warm Rinse Before Bed

A quiet way to let the day leave the skin before sleep. Warm water, a patient lather, and one clear intention are enough.

The Warm Rinse Before Bed

The body keeps small pieces of the day. Heat from a rushed errand, the scent of a room, the feeling of holding too much at once. A rinse before bed is not about becoming spotless. It is about making a small doorway between the day you carried and the rest you are asking for.

Let the water run warm, never harsh. Work the bar between your palms until the lather turns dense and soft. Move slowly across hands, arms, shoulders, neck, and chest. Think of the vessel first, then the soul that has been living inside it all day.

Before you step out, name one thing you are done holding. Let the water take it plainly. No performance, no speech, just release.

Keep the ritual close

  1. 01Warm the hands first, then bring the water to the body.
  2. 02Build a full lather and slow down before applying it.
  3. 03Rinse from the shoulders down and let the breath follow.
  4. 04Pat dry, then seal the skin with oil while it is still a little damp.
