After bath

What The Body Keeps After Water

A note on the few things worth keeping after a cleanse: moisture, scent, warmth, and quiet.

What The Body Keeps After Water

A cleanse is not complete when the water stops. The body is open then, a little warmer and more available. That is the moment to keep what matters.

Press oil into damp skin instead of rubbing quickly. Let scent stay close. Wrap the body in a towel and wait long enough for the room to become quiet again. The soul often arrives a few seconds after the body has stopped moving.

What remains should be simple: moisture, warmth, a clean surface, and the feeling that you were not rushed through your own care.

Keep the ritual close

  1. 01Oil the skin before it dries completely.
  2. 02Keep the scent low and close to the body.
  3. 03Wait one minute before dressing.
  4. 04Carry the quiet into the next room.
